Last night Charlie and I decided to hit up the Highpoint shopping centre in search of our next Venture. With so many places to choose from we (and by ‘we’ I mean ‘I’) decided that we should do the ultimate burger test at Grill’d. I was so surprised at the quality of the food and the vibe at Grill'd that I can't believe I've never been here before.
In two words, Grill'd is 'Burger Heaven.' I ordered the Wagyu Sir Truffle beef burger and Charlie settled for an order of chips. Now where do I even start?
The chips at Grill'd are amazing. The Rosemary seasoning reminds me of every Sunday roast my mum has ever cooked and just the chips alone were enough for me to love this place.
The Sir Truffle Burger was one of the most expensive on the menu but it was well worth it. The Wagyu patty was juicy, thick and fit snugly inside the soft panini bun. The truffle Mayo gave the burger a smoky edge and I felt like apart of the Royal Family by just saying the word 'truffle.'
I didn't expect Grill'd to have such a chilled and contemporary vibe. The furniture, staff and (cue British accent) ambience, was a surprising and pleasant experience for a food chain outlet. Being able to sit, relax and enjoy one of the best burgers (yep I said it) was an experience I can't wait to have again.
My verdict: WORTH IT for burger meals under $25.
